I do enjoy a good blog challenge and as my blog is testament to I am terrible at keeping up long term challenged but a short one is always right up my street! I saw the Beauty Base Zero Challenge on Portia Pexington’s Something New Blog and was intrigued because the idea is to strip back all the layers of make up, clothes etc and just start from the very basic look.
I don’t actually go back to basics very often these days when I choose my outfits and so it was nice to think about and go back to a basic look.
For the challenge you need to show your look where you start, imagining your nails are perfect, your hair is tied back and you’re staring into a mirror, or your closet, wondering what the heck you’re going to wear today.
This vest top which was a gift from Fri.day has been my go to item for numerous outfits. It’s really basic but looks great either on its own or under other items and I think I would be really sad if it got deleted or stolen by LL!
I am also quite boring when it comes to essentials like my shape and eyes. I always wear the same eyes from Fashism because they still look amazing even though I bought them just over a year ago. Likewise my shape is one that was made for me mmm almost 6 years ago when I was a noob who didn’t know how to make a decent shape! I still can’t make a decent shape but have edited the one I wear so she has shrunk in height and also my boobs are not quite so gigantic!
If i’m not sure what skin to wear I always turn to the Kate skin by PXL. I love the basic natural version and then apply the make up afterwards. For eyelashes I don’t wear prim sets anymore because I am rubbish with fitting them. However I couldn’t not wear eyelashes and so will always have at least one set of the Mozz tattoo layer eyelashes which always look great with the skins I wear and you can wear multiple layers if you do want dramatic eyes 
I definitely like the beauty base zero I have selected and think I’ll be saving it in a folder of its own for those days when I fancy going back to basics
